Dr. Kai Lan is an incoming Assistant Professor of Sustainability Science and Engineering at Forest Biomaterials Department, College of Natural Resources, North Carolina State University. Dr. Kai Lan will start in January 2024.

Dr. Kai Lan is a researcher working on developing powerful tools to address sustainability issues. His research interest covers developing new methods and integrated modeling frameworks to assess and advance industrial systems related to sustainable energy and materials for improved environmental, economic, and societal outcomes. His research is aiming at providing insightful information for future pathways.
